Alycia Baird

Treasurer

Originally hailing from the Northern Oregon Coast, Alycia grew up fishing, trapping and hunting big game with her dad and brother.  It wasn’t until she married her husband Mike, and he caught the bird hunting bug that she got into the bird dog scene. When he came home one day announcing that he was tired of fetching his own ducks, their search for bird dogs began.  Thirteen years and eight Pudelpointers later, Alycia is the co-owner/breeder of Lone Pine Pudelpointers, currently out of Virginia.

At the moment, she and her husband own six Pudelpointers: Zayda, Evony & Cadi, Stella, Ember & Odin. Mike’s Coast Guard career has them moving every few years which allows them to meet new dogs and hunters everywhere they go, and also allows them to hunt many different bird species depending on where they are living.  They have been members of five different NAVHDA chapters over the years and enjoy the training community and friends they have made.  These friendships have taken them to Kansas, Arkansas, North Dakota, Iowa, Delaware and many other states on annual hunting adventures.

A graduate of Oregon State University, Alycia’s primary profession is in accounting, and she is currently the Tax Manager for a global software company.
